About 50 percent of our insured individuals, or nearly 850 thousand citizens, have already received various services under the universal health insurance framework, and the universal health insurance fund has made the corresponding reimbursements to the medical organizations or pharmacies where these individuals received the relevant services or medications»:

 

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Health Samvel Khazaryan during a government meeting, addressing universal health insurance:

 

«From January 1 to date, the turnover, that is, the total volume of payments for services, has been around 150 billion, with approximately 1.8 million beneficiaries, half of whom have utilized healthcare services covered by the fund. This means that by the end of the year, we will have accounts amounting to about 200 billion subject to reimbursement», said Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

 

«Perhaps a little more, because due to seasonality, our observations and annual statistics usually show that in the autumn period, due to exacerbations of chronic diseases and the complications arising from them, that number may increase, but it is within the management framework, meaning that overall, the expenses within the insurance fund's budget are manageable», emphasized the Deputy Minister of Health.
