A few days ago, the diplomat wrote on social media that he would soon present the results of his preliminary research, which pertains to both "Queen Ketevan and the documents and historical sources kept in Iran and Georgia":

 

The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili explained to the Iranian ambassador that his statements made on social media are outside the scope of diplomatic activity.

 

According to the deputy minister, such statements negatively affect public sentiment. He expressed hope that the Iranian side would take appropriate measures and that such incidents would not recur, so that there would be no need for additional measures from the Georgian side:
