shantnews. French President Emmanuel Macron is confident that striking Iran will prevent a change of power in the Islamic Republic. He stated this in an interview with American ABC television, which was broadcast on Tuesday.

«I think it is very important for all of us that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons. For me, that is the main goal. I do not believe that regime change can be achieved by bombing the country, and for me, that is not the best option, as it does not work. And we have made that mistake several times over the past decades,» Macron said. Iranian authorities have repeatedly stated that they do not seek nuclear weapons.
